After the pace-setting release of their praised debut album »Unalive« in 2019, modern horror metal band MISTER MISERY, spawned from the hollowed parts of Sweden (2018) has not slowed down, despite the fact a global pandemic crushed schedules, MISTER MISERY kept busy during quarantine, writing new breathtaking material, while still releasing numerous compilations for their fans in the meantime.

DA CAPO: OCHMONEKS mit neuem Video und neuem Gesicht!
Neues von den Düsseldorfer OCHMONEKS :
Ein gutes Jahr nach der Veröffentlichung ihres zweiten Studio-Albums DA CAPO erscheint am Sonntag, den 30.08. das letzte und gleichnamige Musikvideo des Albums. DA CAPO zeigt die OCHMONEKS gut gelaunt in der Altstadt ihrer Heimatstadt Düsseldorf.
Die Fans der Band dürfen gespannt sein, wer im Video den Bass spielen wird. Seitdem die Band und ihr ehemaliger Bassist Peter getrennte Wege gehen, gibt es offiziell noch keinen Nachfolger.
Im Video wird diese Neugier durchaus befriedigt:
In der Story des Videos werden Stefan, Daniel und Dirk bei einem ausgelassenen Streifzug durch die Düsseldorfer Altstadt auf der Suche nach einem neuen Bassisten fündig.
Das neue Gesicht am Bass wird vielen Fans der Deutschrock-Szene bereits bekannt sein. Die Band hüllt sich mit näheren Details jedoch noch in Schweigen.
Die OCHMONEKS betonen, dass die Song-Auswahl für das Musikvideo keinesfalls zufällig ist.
DA CAPO (lat. für “von vorne”) steht für den Neuanfang nach der “Coronapause” - und am Bass.

GHØSTKID – Release “START A FIGHT” Song and Video
GHØSTKID’s music is a dive into darkness and aggression. It’s ugly yet beautiful, it’s heavy while keeping a sense for catchy melodies.
GHØSTKID is the new moniker of Sebastian „Sushi“ Biesler (formerly Eskimo Callboy) who gathered a group of likeminded friends to shape the project: Steve Joakim (drums) from Sweden as well as Danny Güldener (guitar) and Stanislaw Czywil (bass) who used to play in To The Rats And Wolves.

The song is a refreshing mix of contemporary heavy music coming with an irresistible mid-tempo stomp and memorable melodies. The band decided to introduce themselves with an energetic performance video that is giving you a taste and visual idea of the things to come.

“Life can be hard sometimes and not always easy to navigate. This song is a personal representation of how I was feeling while going through some very hard times. I was feeling like a ticking time bomb every second of the day and “Start A Fight” is the moment I said to myself, enough is enough!”

Joachim Witt kündigt zwei exklusive Open Air Sommerkonzerte im August in Hamburg und Leipzig an!
Joachim Witt ist „Rübezahl“ - launisch, temperamentvoll, rigoros, stolz und unvorhersehbar wie ein musikalischer Sturm!

MONO INC. The Raven Flies Again - Sommerkonzerte 2020
Nachdem die Hamburger Dark-Rocker von MONO INC. zu ihrer und zur großen Freude ihrer Fans wider Erwarten vor wenigen Wochen zwei exklusive Strandkorbkonzerte am 14.08. in Halle und am 15.08 in Mönchengladbach ankündigten, freut sich die Band monomanisch, heute ein drittes Sommerkonzert ankündigen zu können.
Es wird ein Heimspiel für MONO INC., da das Konzert am 29.08.2020 im Cruise Inn in Hamburg stattfinden wird. Der Vorverkauf startet heute, am 29.07.2020 um 15:00 Uhr.
Wichtige Information für alle Fans: aufgrund der aktuellen Vorschriften (Mindestabstand, etc.) gibt es nur ein sehr geringes Ticketkontingent. „Aber dadurch werden wir uns nicht davon abhalten lassen, gemeinsam drei emotionale und unvergessliche Sommerabende zu erleben!“, so Martin Engler, Sänger der Band.

JOE BOUCHARD (Founding Member Of Blue Öyster Cult) will release the Album
For the last two years, Joe has worked tirelessly on his 6th and best solo album. For the production of this album he enlisted the help of Micky Curry, a drumming powerhouse, who has played with Hall and Oates, Alice Cooper and more. He is currently the drummer for Bryan Adams, playing on all of his big hits. He has over 40 gold records in his archives.
Several of the songs were written by Joe Bouchard and lyricist/sci-fi writer John Shirley. John Shirley is a long-time lyricist for Blue Öyster Cult, and has written dozens of sci-fi novels. He was the co-screenwriter for ‘The Crow,’ starring Brandon Lee. Other songs on the album were written by the late John Elwood Cook, a very prolific songwriter, who wrote many songs on Joe’s earlier solo albums. Joe’s album also includes a cover of Ray Davies and the Kinks’ “All Day and All of the Night.”

Nachdem in Folge der andauernden Corona-Pandemie alle Live-Termine in das nächste Jahr verschoben werden mussten, freuen wir uns, nun die Ersatztermine für die Hallentournee sowie Jubiläumsshows in Frankfurt bekannt geben zu können.
Im neuen Tournee-Zeitraum, der für Juni 2021 (Jubiläumsshows) und September/Oktober 2021 (Hallentournee) terminiert wurde, können alle für 2020 geplanten Konzerte nachgeholt werden. Bereits gekaufte Tickets behalten ihre Gültigkeit.
Hier das offizielle Statement der Band: „Freundinnen und Freunde, fast auf den Tag genau vor einem Monat, mussten wir euch mitteilen, dass die ursprünglich für dieses Jahr geplante Tour sowie die Jubiläumsshows, aufgrund der anhaltenden Restriktionen in der Veranstaltungsbranche, auf 2021 verschoben werden müssen.
Wie ihr euch sicher vorstellen könnt, werden wir im kommenden Jahr nicht die einzigen Künstler sein, die auf Tournee gehen werden. Umso mehr freuen wir uns, dass wir euch bereits jetzt nachfolgend die neuen Termine, sowohl für die Tour, als auch für die Jubiläumsshows, nennen können. KARYN CRISIS' GOSPEL OF THE WITCHES - unveil new video for "The Ascent"
Prepare to take a journey into the ancient rites of incarnation with the new music video for "The Ascent" from KARYN CRISIS' GOSPEL OF THE WITCHES.

This track is taken from the latest album, “Salem's Wounds”, which features occult metal soundscapes that seamlessly soar from evil heaviness to ambient romanticism through soul provoking passages of light and darkness. The release is described as "...one of the more unique albums that will come across your stereo for quite some time," by Metal Insider.net.
On the nature of "The Ascent" specifically and the release of the new video, Karyn Crisis comments: "The Ascent is about the transformative ancient rite of Death and Resurrection. It also alludes to the wisdom attained through attuning to the nature of energies which often appear to us as illusions of opposites. To be incarnated again we must first go through the death transition; we must enter the darkness to find the light; to hear the voice of the Universe we must go within, turning attention away from the physical world. Opposites are merely halves of a whole: masculine and feminine energies, the macrocosm and the microcosm, life and death.
In pen and ink I drew a storyboard of the video that I sent to Bob Vigna, who filmed and edited the entire video. I explained to him I wanted to depict this rite of dying unto oneself, represented by the Hanged Man Tarot card. For our story, I felt it was important to have the male Druids taking action in the first part of the story which is about a seeker in the physical world, and for the female Priestesses to complete the creative inward rebirthing process.
I was inspired by a story authored by Carlo Napolitano where a character seeking answers to the Great Mysteries was hung upside down on a tree, with a mask tied to his face, gaining a previously unknown view of the world around him as pagan rituals took place around him. Bob elevated these ideas and turned them into a cohesive storyline that's both tangible and earthly, dreamy and spiritual."

MUSIC, BLOOD AND SPIRIT – The Life and Work of Erik Danielsson - documentary to be premiered in Fall 2015
In 2013 Claudio Marino from the Stockholm based film production company Artax Film started the "Blood and Spirit" trilogy that seeks to capture the souls of artists and those who tread their own path to personal enlightenment and creative wealth. The first part, “Ink, Blood and Spirit” was a biographical portrait of the self-taught tattooer and artist ”Little Swastika”, whose work is well known worldwide. He has made a name for himself with his unique, bold and controversial style, while he also wants to show that the swastika has a totally different meaning than the last 70 years would have us believe. The second part, “Fight, Blood and Spirit”, portraits the Swedish prizefighter Magnus ”Jycken” Cedenblad who fights for the number one mixed martial arts organisation - The Ultimate Fighting Championship. Coming this Fall 2015, “Music, Blood and Spirit”, deals with the life and work of Erik Danielsson. Although mainstream now, the black metal music scene was a small but violent underground movement in the mid 90’s. With the inception of Venom and Bathory, the second wave of black metal hailed from Norway and was the result of a lot controversy. Erik "E" Danielsson is the creative mind behind Watain, a Swedish black metal band reaping success not only among fans but also in the public eye.
Erik Danielsson comments: "While Music, Blood & Spirit is in no way a Watain project, but rather someone else's portrait of me as a person, Claudio's stern and solemn approach to his work reminded me much of how we do things with Watain. I can recommend the movie to everyone who wants a different angle on my person than what they might be used to, since the focus here lies on what motivates and drives me personally, rather than Watain itself."

Rock Legends YES begin preparations for their 2016 UK-European Tour
Grammy Award winning pioneers of progressive rock, YES have achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 47 years and 21 studio albums. The band is known for its expansive songs, mystical lyrics, elaborate album art and live stage sets.
Earlier this year YES tragically lost founding member, bassist Chris Squire. Chris had a career spanning over four decades and has influenced as well as played with some of the most notable musicians in rock and pop history. “It’s hard to imagine the future without Chris! He will always be in our thoughts and mind. Chris was a one-off, larger than life human being, who brought a serious amount to everything he was part of,” said YES guitarist, Steve Howe
“It’s been harder than I can say to put thoughts to words—to express the sense of loss I feel upon the passing of my cherished friend and band mate, Chris Squire. I am without one of the most important, most loved people in my life. Chris was always a gentle but strong leader; a steadfast rock of my existence,” added YES drummer, Alan White.

There is no better way to honor the memory of Chris than moving forward and continuing the legacy of the band he co-founded back in 1968.
YES have just finished a successful tour in North America with rock legends TOTO, and Billy Sherwood doing an amazing job taking over for Chris. YES are now planning a massive 25 date tour across the UK and Europe. YES, for the first time in their history, will perform 1971’s ‘Fragile’ and 1980’s ‘Drama’.
“This is the first time we’ll be performing ‘Drama’ in its entirety. And most of the songs haven’t been performed in some 30 years,” stated Steve Howe.
YES are among of the longest lasting and the most successful of the ’70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band. YES retained the same sound, and performed much of the same repertoire they were doing in 1971, and for their trouble, found themselves being taken seriously a quarter of a century later. Their audience remained huge because they had always attracted younger listeners drawn to their mix of daunting virtuosity, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.

Frostfeuernächte 2016
Vom 12.02 zum 13.02. 2016 finden die Frostfeuernächte nun zum zweiten Mal statt. Das sehr junge Metal Festival hat seine Heimat südlich von Berlin und ist idyllisch gelegen am Hölzernen See.
Die ersten Frostfeuernächte fanden im Zeitraum vom 20.02 bis 21.02. im Jahr 2015 statt. Im Vorjahr spielten an beiden Festivaltagen insgesamt 21 Bands aus den unterschiedlichsten Metalgenres. Nicht nur bekannte Bands teilten sich bei den Frostfeuernächten die Bühne: regionale und eher „kleine“ Bands bekamen ebenfalls die Möglichkeit ihr Können und ihre Musik einer großen Zuhörerschaft vorzustellen.
2016 findet das Festival wieder auf dem Boden des 'KiEZ Hölzerner See' statt. Zu diesem Anlass finden sich erneut 21 Bands ein, um ein gelungenes „Metal-Wochenende“ mitzugestalten. Bei der Zusammenstellung der Bands ist sich der Veranstalter treu geblieben und bietet den Festivalbesuchern ein breites Genre-Spektrum an.
Am Freitag dem 12.02.2016 wird der „Unholy Thrash Day“ vollzogen werden. Unter anderem werden sich die Black-Thrasher 'Witching Hour' sowie 'Nocturnal Witch' die Bühne teilen und die Halle mit ihrem rohen Sound erzittern lassen. Aber auch Bands wie 'The Gash', 'DRENCHED IN BLOOD', 'First Aid', und 'Rimruna' werden aufspielen.
Am Samstag spielen insgesamt 14 Bands. Dazu werden u.a. die Death-Metaller 'Xicution' aus Eberswalde ihre neue Scheibe „Infected“ den Besuchern der Frostfeuernächte vorstellen und eine feuchtfröhliche Record Release Party steigen lassen.
Ein sicherlich ungewöhnlicher Headliner ist das 'Dark Kasperle Theater'. Das 'Dark Kasperle Theater' verbindet Handpuppentheater und eine skurrile Geschichte mit harten Riffs und elektronischen Einlagen. Hinzu kommen noch eine Materialschlacht aus Gemüse, Obst etc. und witzige Charaktere die kein Auge trocken lassen werden.
Auch für die Freunde des Pagan und Folk Metals wird einiges geboten. So werden Adorned Brood, Finsterforst und Firtan der Menge einheizen.

Da der Februar zu den eher kalten Jahreszeiten gehört sind die Frostfeuernächte ein reines Indoor-Festival. Für Besucher die gern in der Nähe des Festivalgeländes nächtigen möchten, gibt es die Möglichkeit eine Schlafgelegenheit zu buchen. Die Übernachtungen werden in zwei Kategorien angeboten und müssen im Vorfeld online bestellt werden (http://www.frostfeuernächte.de/?page_id=279).
Ebenso ist für Verpflegung gesorgt. Es wird zu den gängigen Mahlzeiten (Frühstück, Mittag, Abendbrot) ausgewählte warme und kalte Speisen geben. Zusätzlich besteht die Möglichkeit über den Tag kleine Snacks zu erwerben.

DEVIL CITY ANGELS has no shortage of professionals in its ranks - namely Tracii Guns of L.A. GUNS on guitar, drummer, Rikki Rocket of POISON, Rudy Sarzo of QUIET RIOT and OZZY OSBOURNE on bass, and singer Brandon Gibbs of THE GIBBS BROTHERS and CHEAP THRILL. With upwards of 100 million units sold and countless packed arena and stadium gigs worldwide between them, the members of DEVIL CITY ANGELS have banded together to do what they love – simply rock out and have a great time while providing music lovers with a fun and engaging sound that everyone can enjoy.
In 2014, longtime buddies Tracii and Rikki jammed at a Keith Moon and Jon Entwistle tribute show together with DEVIL CITY ANGELS’ first bassist Eric Brittingham of CINDERELLA. Rocking on stage felt so good that they collectively agreed, “Let’s start a band.” So, Rikki rang Brandon with whom he’d built a relationship after producing music for him ten years prior.
The four musicians holed up in Southern California’s Patagonia Studios within a month of that impromptu first gig. The five-acre ranch allowed for a level of comfortable isolation, encouraging complete focus. As a result, they quickly conjured up a sound of their own. The first track, “All My People”, speaks to that approach with a rollicking and raucous bluesy riff, boisterous drumming, and powerhouse vocals. The first single, “Boneyard”, merges a smooth and swaggering riff with soulful vocals. Meanwhile, “No Angels” begins with a lumbering groove that drips into a heavenly and hypnotic hook.
After recording the album with Brittingham, the bassist amicably split with the guys. Rudy Sarzo stepped into the fold in the spring of 2015 and the band couldn’t be stronger.

Die Berliner Band AETHERNAEUM veröffentlicht am 2. Oktober 2015 ihren neuen Longplayer „Naturmystik“ über EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN. Zu hören gibt es Black Metal, der nicht zuletzt durch den Einsatz von Cello, unzähligen Keyboards, Percussion, Piano und Chören einen sehr epischen, atmosphärischen und melodischen Charakter hat. Doch wenngleich die Wurzeln der Band im Black Metal liegen, lassen sie sich nicht darauf reduzieren. Die anspruchsvollen, oft mehr als 10 Minuten langen Kompositionen verarbeiten auch Einflüsse aus Genres wie Folklore, Progressive Rock, Post-Rock oder traditionellem Heavy Metal. Durch die Vielzahl der Elemente ist auch die Produktion, die von Alexander Paul Blake wieder im eigenen Winter-Solitude-Studio in Berlin gefahren wurde, noch aufwendiger geworden. Nicht selten kamen pro Song um die 100 Einzelspuren zusammen. Erscheinen wird „Naturmystik“ als CD und Artbook und im März 2016 geht die Band dann auf Tour mit Dornenreich!

VAMPIRE – announce release of “Cimmerian Shade” mini-LP
The Vampire strikes back!
After a couple of months of silence, Swedish death metal tyrants VAMPIRE return with a new sign of life. On September 25th the band will release the 4-track MLP “Cimmerian Shade”. This MLP will be released on 10” vinyl as well as digital download/stream. With “Cimmerian Shade” VAMPIRE continue walking the path they have chosen with their self-titled demo (2012) and last year’s debut album, offering ghoulish, horror-ridden Nordic death metal spiced up with some sinister South American thrash metal parts and an omnipresent eldritch atmosphere. But “Cimmerian Shade” also shows a departure to unconquered shores by adding an epic touch to the music, which so far hasn’t been an essential part of VAMPIRE’s sound. BLACK TEMPLE – release debut album “It All Ends” on Century Media Records
Century Media Records recently started a collaboration with Anders Fridén (IN FLAMES) and his label Razzia Notes Records. BLACK TEMPLE from Helsingborg, Sweden, will be the first release Razzia Notes licensed to Century Media for all territories outside of Scandinavia and North America.
BLACK TEMPLE’s album debut, “It All Ends”, is an intense story with impressive dynamics. With Magnus Lindberg (CULT OF LUNA) in the producer's seat the band, that has been called the country's most violent live act, explores new territory in their musical landscapes: A primitive primordial drive fights it out with immediate melodies, performed with an ever present sense that each note can be the last. The end may be near, but "It All Ends" is just the beginning.
Anders Fridén comments: ”First time I heard Black Temple I freaked and I said to myself, I gotta work with these guys somehow. LEAFMEAL – A Feast Of Friends
Autumn will be heavy, with an excellent selection from the voltage field of Post-Punk, Doom, Heavy Rock, Stoner and Death Metal blasting the last remaining leaves off the trees in Dortmund’s FZW.
The festival was brought into being by Mike Heinemann of Dortmund-based agency Continental Concerts, whose annual Rock Hard Festival in the amphitheatre of Gelsenkirchen has been successful since 2003; Bastian Brühl of Red Shift Music, who has worked with several bands in this scene for Siegen’s Vortex Club and Freak Valley Festival; and Jens Prüter, Chief A&R at Century Media Records.
The first edition of LEAFMEAL will be carried out on 27 November 2015 and will continue annually in autumn.
Both FZW’s big and small stage offer a perfect sound which is unbeatable within a broad periphery. Located at the Western side of Dortmund city centre, FZW is in walking distance of the main station; it provides sufficient parking, and a vibrant scene of record stores (Idiots Records, Black Plastic and Amsterdam Records), bars (BlackEnd, Kraftstoff, et al.), galleries and accommodation.
The first 6 out of 12 bands can be announced already. Swedish whiz kids DEAD LORD, the “rock band currently most talked about” (MetalHammer) will be there. Their debut album ‘Goodbye Repentance’ made it to WDR Rockpalast in no time. Back then, Götz Kühnemund wrote in Rock Hard Magazine: “For me, DEAD LORD are the best hard rock newcomer of the past year (which means a lot considering the current glut of fresh talent) and may well ignore the accusation of plagiarism. Phil Lynot is dead; there won’t be another Thin Lizzy album to reach the level of ‘Goodbye Repentance’”. Their new album ‘Heads Held High’ will be published on 21 August, and it will increase the already high standard even more.
GORILLA MONSOON from Dresden approach Black Sabbath’s heritage a bit rougher when it comes to their Fuzz Riffs. They proved to be a good live band already doing various shows with established bands like Trouble or Crowbar. CHAPEL OF DISEASE from Cologne, on the other hand, dig deep in the bowels of Death Metal; and their extreme individual doomy sound made it to one of the best bands of the new German scene in no time, in line with SULPHUR AEON. SULPHUR AEON’s second album has therefore been honoured as album of the month May 2015 in Rock Hard Magazine and resurrects the Cthulhu during one of their rare gigs.
In Münster, however, earthy Heavy Blues is still being valued. ZODIAC have managed to blow the dust off their heroes ZZ Top, Free and Thin Lizzy on their so far three albums – and they still keep it dirty. KAMCHATKA, who have played a few shows with ZODIACS at the start of the year, take a similar direction. The Swedes around Per Wiberg (ex Opeth, Spiritual Beggars) have just launched their new album ‘Long Road Made Of Gold’ and got euphoric press reactions everywhere. Metal Hammer gave 6 out of 7 points: “Timeless Rock that does not meet any expiry date with this quality”.
Friends of classic Doom Metal will be served by Swedish legends SORCERER, who thrilled the scene with an iconic demo in 1989. 26 years later, they launched an acclaimed debut album, which became 'Album Of The Month April 2015' in the Rock Hard Magazine with justice. More doom!
From Barcelona, Spain, we will welcome hard rockers '77. They will present their new album which is due to be launched in October and has been produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Cathedral).
And of course, there is also some "home town" on the agenda. Long Distance Calling are from Dortmund, Münster and Freiburg. As one of the headliners they will bring us the finest Post and Prog Rock!

KRISIUN launch first new track “Scars Of The Hatred”via Metal Hammer
As recently reported, KRISIUN are dead set to release their new album, Forged In Fury, worldwide via Century Media Records on August 7th, 2015. The album will be available as a limited edition digipak incl. two bonus tracks as well as a woven patch, as 180g gatefold 2 LP edition with etching (incl. the album on CD) and as digital download.

Forged In Fury was produced by Erik Rutan, the brain and heart of death metal masters HATE ETERNAL and former guitarist of MORBID ANGEL. Rutan has worked as a producer for his own band as well as for CANNIBAL CORPSE, SIX FEET UNDER, MALEVOLENT CREATION, MADBALL, AGNOSTIC FRONT, to name just a few-- additionally, he also co-produced KRISIUN's Conquerors of Armageddon album back in 1999!
The stunning cover artwork was created by renowned artist Joe Petagno (MOTORHEAD, MARDUK, VADER, etc.).
KRISIUN is extremely proud of their new opus and had this to say about the album and their work with producer Erik Rutan:
“Forged in Fury” marks our return to the studio after 3 years of constantly touring all over the globe. Things were working well as we were always satisfied with the results of the previous records, but we thought that it was time for a change. Erik Rutan was the chosen one to be the producer, at Mana Recording Studios in Florida.
This album could be described as a "more natural" sounding album; the songs came out with more ambience and more low-end, making it sound even more brutal and straight-forward. It took us a lot of hard work and dedication, no fashions or tendencies were followed, this is a true relentless metal album to the bone, with a huge, natural sound. The song writing captures all the experience and feelings we gathered thru all the years of touring and recording, it has more variation and dynamics, but is still 100% Krisiun. Erik has a huge participation within the whole process, especially with regards to the band's performance. He was able to get the best out of each one of us, as we have been friends for a long time, so it was a pleasure working with him. This album was made with a lot of heart and passion for metal music.

DARK MILLENNIUM – full discography to be released in autumn 2015
Century Media Records are very proud to announce the cooperation with DARK MILLENNIUM for the release of the band’s entire discography.
Germany’s DARK MILLENNIUM were formed in 1989. With the release of their demo tapes “The Apocryphal Wisdom” (1991) and “Of Sceptre Their Ashes May Be” (1992) the band heavily stirred up the German death metal underground as one of the most promising – and surely one of the most unique – death metal bands of that time. While other followed the paths paved by international acts as Death, Morbid Angel, Entombed, Obituary or Morgoth, DARK MILLENNIUM’s vision always was to create something special and new, something not instantly comparable to the big names of the scene. To this very day DARK MILLENNIUM’s debut album “Ashore The Celestial Burden” remains one prime example of dark, varied and very atmospheric death metal packed with twisted riffs, haunting melodies and an uncanny instinct for intricate song structures, entwining the gloom of early UK death metal with the technical finesse of albums like “Piece Of Time” or “Blessed Are The Sick”. The follow-up album “Diana Read Peace” led DARK MILLENNIUM further away from the sound of the early days towards the realms of progressive metal that only few bands like Atheist or Cynic dared to tread at that time. May it be the musical differences or internal quarrel that caused DARK MILLENNIUM’s untimely demise, sure is they were far ahead of their time and therefore never had the chance to reap what they have sown … until now. The release of their complete work is a tribute to one of the best death metal bands to ever emerge from the German soil.
DARK MILLENNIUM’s guitarist and musical mastermind Hilton Theissen has carefully remastered both albums from the original sound sources, while Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony (Asphyx, Morgoth, Grave, Dissection) has restored the two demos. The sound of the entire material is absolutely mindblowing. DARK MILLENNIUM’s discography will be released as a fairly-price limited 4CD version and on vinyl as three separate limited LPs. Detailed info on the different formats as well as exact release dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Keep your eyes open and witness the resurrection of unearthly death metal darkness of ancient times.

Century Media will release the first four studio albums of ICED EARTH in July.
“Iced Earth” and “Night Of The Stormrider” will be released on June
10th, “Burnt Offerings” and “The Dark Saga” will be released on June
17th. All four albums will come in gatefold sleeves featuring the
original LP artwork. Layouts have been kept close to the layouts of the
original vinyl versions as well. Each LP includes a 60x60 artwork poster
and 180 g vinyl. The LP sound has been kept in its original
form, with a special vinyl mastering of Patrick Engel, known from his
careful mastering works for bands as Jag Panzer, Exodus, Trouble, Tokyo
Blade or Candlemass, delivering you the best vinyl listening experience
of these US power metal classics.
While “The Dark Saga” has already seen one vinyl re-issue in 2010
(which is a rare edition by now), the first three ICED EARTH albums have
never seen an LP re-issue since their initial release. As prices have
reached ridiculous heights lately, it’s time to offer you these
outstanding and influential albums for a regular price. The albums “Days

Here are some words by NAPALM DEATH about this project:
“Having been fortunate to be invited to Kathmandu just over three years
ago to play a gig, I remember fondly the unique, enriching experience
that it gave us as a band. When you're bouncing from continent to
continent in short spaces of time, it might be very easy to become
complacent to where you process all those continents through the same
perceptive filter. I think you owe it those who receive you - and to
yourself - to have a deeper sense of understanding.
Nepal,
therefore, seemed not only a place of striking beauty, but also a
tougher place for things that you would normally take for granted e.g. a
stage to play on and a place for a concert festival. A wider viewing
revealed such grim inequalities - in comparison to the wider world - as
people living in holes at the side of the road, which then actually
became one of the reference points for our current album, 'Apex Predator
- Easy Meat'.
When the earthquake struck on the 25th April
2015, I recalled the general frailty of the buildings in Kathmandu
(something which you see on several continents where deprivation makes
everyday habitation a very hazardous experience) and could already
imagine the consequences - I didn't necessarily need to view the
inevitable volume of TV / internet footage.
Shane, our bass
player, was already thinking of what Napalm Death could do to alleviate
things in our own small way and knowing that Bill Gould from Faith No
More had been involved in the region, Shane was kindly directed by him
to the DZI. We like the fact that the community has an overriding hand
in deciding how to best use resources, and the spirit of independence
that the DZI encourages is something that runs in parallel with the
ethos of Napalm Death.
We therefore present an exclusive track
from the aforementioned album session written by our guitarist, Mitch
Harris - to raise funds for the work and resources required through the
DZI. The lyrics can be interpreted in several different ways, but to me
they signify acknowledging and embracing humanity beyond the relentless
march of technology. Perhaps somewhat apt here.
Please give what you can to aid the rebuilding of people's lives - and bathe in the sonic extremity.”

Ist dir das Leben zu hart, bist du zu weich für Megaherz!“
MEGAHERZ AUF TOUR MIT UNHEILIG - PRESSE FÜRCHTET UM DAS WOHL DER KONZERT-BESUCHER!
Seit Freitag, den 26.06.2015 ist es also soweit, UNHEILIG starten ihre
Gipfelstürmer- Tour 2015. Im Vorprogramm: Niemand geringeres als die
Neue-Deutsche-Härte-Größe MEGAHERZ, welche mit ihrem brand aktuellen
Album „Zombieland“ die deutschen Charts stürmten und sich zurück an die
Spitze ihres Genres erklommen haben. Doch, sind MEGAHERZ zu hart für das
UNHEILIG-Publikum? So jedenfalls findet es das Oberbayerische
Volksblatt / Mühldorfer Anzeiger, und schreibt in einem am Samstag den
20.06. veröffentlichten Artikel: „Zum Auftakt bleibt den Mamas und Papas
aber wohl nichts anderes übrig, als den kleinen Fans des Grafen die
Augen und Ohren zuzuhalten. […] Was diese Härte mit sich bringt, sind
vor allem harte Worte: aggressiv, derb, unter der Gürtellinie.“ Und fügt
hinzu: „Megaherz passt zum „Familien-Event“ wie ein Horrorfilm ins
Nachmittags-Programm.“

Die „harten“ Fakten beweisen allerdings das Gegenteil: Denn nicht ohne
Grund zählen MEGAHERZ bis heute zu den führenden Neue-Deutsche-Härte
Bands, ein Genre, aus dem eben auch UNHEILIG entsprungen sind. Immense
Chart-Erfolge, ausverkaufte Tourneen, eine stetig wachsende Fan-Gemeinde
in ganz Europa, die MEGAHERZ mit ihren Erfols-Alben mitbringen,
sprechen Bände. Nun hat die Band bereits 2 Konzerte der
Gipfelstürmer-Tour mit UNHEILIG gespielt: Am 26.06. in Schwäbisch Gmünd
sowie am 27.06. auf der Loreley/St. Goarshausen, bei welchen MEGAHERZ
direkt ihr brandneues Album „Zombieland“ ausverkauften, und seither auch
Amazon komplett leergekauft ist. Der Andrang auf die Band einer täglich
wachsenden Fangemeinde von jung bis alt ist immens.
Zu hart für das UNHEILIG-Publikum?
Die Band kommentierte nun in einem offenen Statement:
„Zum Einen können wir die ganze Aufregung, die dieser Artikel ausgelöst
hat, überhaupt nicht verstehen, zum Anderen bedauern wir es natürlich,
dass ein einzelner Journalist überhaupt soviel Verunsicherung auslösen
kann. Er zitiert in seinem Artikel den Liedtext eines Songs, der in
unseren absoluten Anfangsjahren entstand und das ist gut 20 Jahre her.
Es ist ein Zeitzeugnis unserer Bandhistorie. Mehr nicht. Wir
thematisieren in unseren Texten das Leben und nehmen dabei manchmal auch
kein Blatt vor den Mund, hin und wieder provozieren wir auch, wenn wir
meinen, dadurch dem Thema auch gerecht zu werden. Wie immer sollte man
dabei auch das berühmte Augenzwinkern nicht vergessen, denn gerade der
Humor und der Wortwitz sind unsere Stärken. Wir haben Fans in allen
Altersklassen, die gerade das an uns schätzen.
Im Internet
kursierte das Gerücht, dass das Unheilig-Management uns irgendetwas
verboten oder uns sogar vorgeschrieben hätte, welche Songs wir spielen
oder nicht spielen dürfen. Passiert ist das natürlich nicht. Man soll
nicht immer glauben was da gedruckt wird.
Die Konzertbesucher der
Gipfelstürmer Open Air Tour dürfen sich auf einen großartigen Abend mit
coolen Bands freuen, die mit viel Herzblut, Gefühl und Spaß an die
Sache rangehen. Wie gut das funktioniert hat man bereits in Schwäbisch
Gmünd und auf der Loreley erleben dürfen. Nur lachende Gesichter und
feiernde, abrockende Menschen!“
